CMC Chemistry Project Coordinator

Location: Boston or Basel

Monte Rosa Therapeutics seeks a highly motivated Project Coordinator to support the expanding research team in Basel Switzerland. The Project Coordinator will manage cross-functional teams (Chemistry/DMPK/CMC ) as a key individual contributor and serve as the lead point person in generating project timelines, managing day-to-day product development operations, master scheduling, and being responsible for project risk identification. This person will support departments with operations and coordination activities such as invoices, contracts, shipments and compounds registration and have the possibility to help the advancement of our exciting programs for our promising pipeline. The ideal candidate should have a chemistry (or related disciplines) background with a good understanding of discovery, preclinical and development in pharma and working experience in chemical / CMC operations. Excellent skills for working in a collaborative and cross-functional, dynamic environment are an asset.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Execute solid project management skills; knowledge of initiating processes, planning processes, executing processes, monitoring & control processes, and closing processes to appropriately address project timelines, budgets, and project scope. Control and keep track of invoices flow, spending vs. available budget.
  • Be the point of contact with multiple CRO/CDMO for contract generation, logistics, invoices and operations in general.
  • Manage, and maintain organized contracts and addendums with different vendors.
  • Responsible for shipments (materials, samples, etc) under GMP regulations
  • Accountable for compound registration, inventory, shipment, and overall flow of materials between internal and external sites.
  • Establish and maintain a variety of databases, and repositories for documentation & records of various type work with internal IT and Document management teams to ensure structure and compliance.
  • Perform sourcing activities for building blocks, and raw materials. Building and maintaining relationships with reliable partners for compounds/services for chemical R&D
  • Support QA activities when necessary, with documentation flow, archiving
  • Flexible in also supporting tasks from other drug discovery functions when necessary.
  • Be part of the budget team to collect and harmonize budget forecasts

Education & Experience

-A Bachelor of Science (BS)/ Masters (MSc) in Chemistry or related scientific field, Engineering or Technical field,
4-5 years of experience in a similar role within a Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology environment.
-General project management knowledge of concepts and tools;
-Proven ability to work with in technical cross-functional teams, excellent people management skills
-Knowledge of Technology Transfers, cGMP Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management
-Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, & SharePoint
