Location: Basel

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled Expert in Automation and Compound Management in our Basel office. The position will implement automation projects for our sample management workflows and support basic compound management functions.

Technical and strategic responsibilities :

Establish and maintain new automated workflows for management of compounds. This includes new integration of compounds’ storage and liquid handlers into our existing workflows.
Compound Management support for storage, retrieval and distribution of Monte Rosa’s compound collection for biological profiling, both internally and externally across global sites, working closely with Chemistry, Biology, Screening, Data Science, and Facilities groups.
In collaboration with Proteomics and Chemistry, establishment and operation a QC system using LC-MS. Develop new methodology for compound integrity evaluation if needed.
Analysis of the needs and gaps of our existing workflows with the aim of constant improvement of Compound management automated processes.
In collaboration with Software engineering and Data Science, continuously analysis and improvements of LIMS functionality.
Data handling and data curation of Compound Management Database and usage statistics.

Job Qualifications:

5+ years of applicable experience within the life sciences industry.
BSc / MSc Degree or equivalent in a related scientific discipline.
Hands-on experience in Sample Management and an excellent understanding of the underlying processes.
Strong experience of lab automation technology.
Experience operating, programming and troubleshooting various liquid handlers and other instrumentation.
Experience with LCMS.
Experience with LIMS and Databases.
Experience working across multiple teams and functionalities.
Problem-solving skills to overcome any challenges that may arise.
Strong organization skills and the ability to work independently.
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
