Job description

Founded in 1998, the Swiss Biotech Association represents the interests of the Swiss biotech industry. To support its members in a competitive market, the Swiss Biotech Association works to secure favorable framework conditions and facilitate access to talents, novel technologies, and financial resources. To strengthen and promote the Swiss biotech industry, the Swiss Biotech Association collaborates with numerous partners and life science clusters globally under the brand Swiss Biotech™.

The Swiss biotech hub is growing rapidly and in line with this our international relations network is expanding and growing in importance while we strengthen the collaborations with foreign biotech hubs. Cross-border investments, partnering with multinational pharma companies, talent exchange, effective clinical trials and the formation of international research collaborations are just a few elements that are part of this process.

Thus, we are intensifying our efforts to grow international relationships and explore opportunities for international collaborations, partnering and networking with the objective to exploit mutually beneficial opportunities and connect Swiss Biotech companies with the international Biotech community and vice versa.

To support this effort, we are looking for an independent, entrepreneurial, and dedicated team member who is self-reliant, committed to support the Swiss biotech stakeholders, and loves to contribute to our team.

The mandate “Manager International Relations” will focus on building and leveraging our international relationships and connect international players to our various Swiss Biotech offerings, the Swiss Biotech Directory, our venture platform, the Swiss Biotech Day and the Global Village platform to the benefit of biotech companies and investors in the Swiss biotech ecosystem. In this role, you will sustain and expand our collaboration with international partners as for example other foreign biotech organizations. Supporting the build-up and maintenance of these international efforts for the benefit of the Global Village platform is another important task in this role.

We are looking for a colleague who is resident and firmly embedded in Switzerland and familiar with the Swiss Biotech / Life Sciences Ecosystem and its partners. You are fluent in English (working proficiency in German and French is desirable and any additional languages are an additional asset), and your working style is precise, efficient, and effective. We look for a team player and an individual with a high degree of service mindedness. While you represent the Swiss Biotech Association in this role, the mandate includes a substantial component of administrative tasks, such as the savvy handling of our customer relationship management system. We welcome a team member who can think “out of the box” and at the same time aligns his/her activities with the overall strategy of our association.

If this role fits your skills and personal vision, we look forward to getting to know you.
