Project Director

Overview

• Drug discovery technical support to the EU/Israel business development team
• Support to clients with project design, planning and execution
• Initiation and leadership of EU-based technical promotional activities

Responsibilities

• Continued growth of the division business in Europe and Israel
• Realization of initiatives that extend the scope of the business and/or broaden the client base
• Positive impact on division strategy, operational practices, capabilities and image

Description of the role:

• Together with VP and BD leads in Europe set and action strategy for EU business
• Provide technical and operational leadership to the EU team and clients
• Support to the Research Service Division (RSD) global business development and marketing teams
• Build working relationships with key RSD clients in Europe and Israel
• Work with all client segments to promote RSD services and act as a technical ambassador
• Actively identify new client segments and build relationships and strategies for these
• Establish and maintain best working practices for execution across RSD
• Work with the leadership team and senior staff to establish best practices for coordination of projects across BU’s within RSD and across divisions
• Continually seek opportunities to promote WuXi AppTec activities through participation in conferences, webinairs and forum events

Qualifications
Experience / Education
• Significant experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industry
• PhD in related scientific discipline

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Travel is required 50%, Domestic/International, Daily / Overnight
