To support our R&D team, we are currently looking for an Experienced Research Associate Fermentation with strong background in microbial and eukaryotic fermentation processes to drive the development of our CustomGlycan Platform.
You have a proven track record in fermentation process development for various prokaryotic andeukaryotic organisms? You are experienced with statistical experimental design and have an advanced education in microbiology, cell biology, industrial fermentation development or equivalent and a strong practical and theoretical background in fermentation process development? As a Research Associate Fermentation, your responsibilities include:
• Advancing the development of a scalable, robust and cGMP compliant fermentation process
• Developing statistical experimental designs based on profound knowledge and literature research in metabolic pathways and fermentation process development
• Identifying critical process parameters and appropriate analytical tools
• Performing experiments according to established plans, timelines and priorities
• Knowledge on the CustomGlycan Platform biology
• Establishing and managing external collaborations
• Proactively providing solutions for technical and scientific problems
• Summarizing results in reports and presenting data in scientific meetings

You are an efficient, proactive and enthusiastic person, motivated to bring tasks to completion and have
• Proven hands-on experience, minimum 3 years, in biopharmaceutical fermentation process development
• Experience in metabolic characterization of cells and fermentation processes
• Hands-on experience with up- and downstream development of therapeutic proteins
• Good knowledge in cell biology and biochemistry
• Good negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently as well as in a multicultural group as team player
• Good IT-skills (Excel, databases, statistical software, DOE)
• Hold BSc or MSc degree from a reputable academic institute
• Highly flexible and motivated team player
