Research Associate Hit characterization (80-100%)

CDR-Life develops novel tumor-targeted immunotherapies. A key part of this process is the advancement of therapeutic candidates from discovery to early clinical development by developing, implementing, and executing strategies to characterize pharmacodynamic properties across several drug development programs.

To expand the Hit characterization team within our Pharmacology group we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced:

Research Associate Hit characterization (80-100%)

Characterization of antibody hits to generate first-in-class immuno-oncology drugs

You will play an important role in the early characterization of antibody hits using various immunological and cell biological assays to support the lead selection process as part of CDR-Life’s pipeline of immunotherapies. You will work in a highly dynamic matrix environment in close collaboration with other members of the Pharmacology & Discovery group to drive scientific research and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, conduct and analyze experiments to characterize antibody-derived molecules in cell-based assays (e.g. FACS binding studies, cytotoxicity and cytokine readouts) to allow selection of leads for further optimization
• Develop assays and implement tools to support hit characterization (e.g. cell line generation)
• Document and report the results to the team
• Work closely with other pharmacology team members as well as discovery group to support hit identification and lead selection
• Maintain and optimize mammalian cell culture processes and general laboratory infrastructure
• Analyze, interpret and present experimental results at internal meetings

Qualifications

• MSc, BSc or training as laboratory technician in Biology, Cell Biology, or equivalent degree in biological sciences
• 2+ years work experience within an industry setting is required
• Highly experienced in mammalian cell culture work conducting cell-based assays
• Hands-on experience with Flow Cytometry
• Experience with ELISA
• Well-organized with an independent and accurate working style
• Positive, reliable, open-minded, and flexible team player
• Fluency in English
