To support our R&D team, we are currently looking for an
Experienced Scientist / Research Associate Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
with strong background in protein biochemistry and molecular biology to drive the development of our CustomGlycan Platform.
You have a proven track record in biochemistry, including protein purification, characterization and protein engineering. You are experienced with glycoproteins and antibody formats and have an advanced education in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or equivalent and a strong practical and theoretical background in protein biochemistry and molecular biology. As a Scientist or Research Associate Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology, your responsibilities include:
• Developing purification processes, performing batch purifications and characterization of resulting engineered recombinant glycoproteins
• Protein purification using affinity-, hydrophobic interaction-, mixed mode-, ion exchange-, and size exclusion chromatography
• DNA preparation and cell transfection
• Basic cell culture cultivation
• Performing experiments according to established plans, timelines and priorities
• Planning and executing process and know-how transfers to external parties and supervising
ongoing work
• Proactively providing solutions to technical and scientific problems
• Summarizing results in reports and presenting data in scientific meeting

You are an efficient, proactive and enthusiastic person, motivated to bring tasks to completion and have:
• MSc or PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioengineering, or other relevant field
• Extensive experience in protein engineering, purification and characterization
• Hands-on experience in industrial process development for purification of therapeutic proteins
• Additional experience in structural biology is a plus
• Knowledge in DNA design & synthesis, cell transfection, and cell growth
• Good negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently as well as in a multi-cultural group as team player
• Good IT-skills (Excel, databases, statistical software
