Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled accounting professional as a Senior Accountant to be part of a growing Finance team. In this high impact role, you will perform day-to-day financial operations and compliance functions. You will be responsible for the month-end close process and reporting, and partner with the Controller, Swiss Accounting Manager, and cross-functional leaders to drive continuous improvement in financial operations. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Payroll and banking
Accountability and hands-on involvement in all company accounting-related matters:
Manage GL, including period-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, Profit & Loss review, VAT reporting, etc.)
Prepare payroll and serve as a resource for related compliance matters
Assist with Financial Planning & Analysis to develop and maintain framework for reporting and analysis
Support preparation for financial statement audits and tax compliance reporting
Build and develop an accounting team with a strong customer service orientation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, Swiss Certified Accountant preferred.
Native German speaker and fluent in English
Minimum of 2+ years in a combination of public accounting and bio/pharma industry experience.
Prior experience with NetSuite preferred not required
Experience developing internal controls and driving implementation of policies and procedures.
Experience with preparation payroll and VAT tax filings.
Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges.
Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.
Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences.
