We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of traditional Swiss accounting and compliance, who also enjoys actively shaping modern ERP-supported financial processes with Odoo. You will actively contribute to the further development and digitalization of our financial processes and play a key role in the implementation and development of Odoo Finance.
YOUR TASKS
Overall responsibility for finance and accounting
- Responsibility for the proper management of financial accounting in accordance with Swiss law of obligations (OR)
- Ensuring timely, complete and legally compliant bookkeeping
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including notes.
- Preparation of meaningful financial reports for management
- Cooperation and coordination with external auditors, trustees and authorities
Accounts receivable, accounts payable and liquidity management
- Responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Execution of payment runs and monitoring of the dunning process
- Ensuring efficient liquidity planning and monitoring
- Reconciliation of outstanding items and intercompany transactions
VAT and Compliance
- Preparation and timely submission of VAT returns
- Ensuring the correct tax accounting of all business transactions
- Contact person for the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) and other authorities
- Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Payroll accounting and social security
- Independent processing of monthly payroll
- Administration and billing of all social security contributions
- Preparation of wage statements and annual declarations for insurance companies and authorities
- Contact person for questions relating to wages and social security
Digitalization and ERP further development (Odoo)
- Active participation in the introduction and further development of Odoo Finance
- Definition and optimization of financial processes, account structures and workflows
- Conducting tests, providing support during go-live, and ensuring stable operation
- Training and support for employees in using the new ERP system
- Identification and implementation of automation and digitalization potential within the financial sector.
YOUR PROFILE
Professional qualifications
- Qualification as a specialist in finance and accounting with a federal certificate or comparable further education
- Several years of professional experience in a responsible position in the finance and accounting department of a Swiss SME
- Sound knowledge of Swiss contract law (OR), VAT, and tax and social security legislation.
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements and supporting audits
Accounting expertise
- Broad understanding of classic financial processes from booking to year-end closing
- Confident handling of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and fixed asset accounting
- High affinity for numbers, analyses and financial relationships
- Ability to combine detailed operational work with a holistic view of the company
Digitalization & Systems
- Experience with modern ERP systems and digital financial processes
- Knowledge of Odoo Finance (Accounting module) is a great advantage.
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
- Enjoyment in questioning, simplifying, and digitizing existing processes
- Ideally, experience in ERP implementations, system migrations, or digitization projects.
