About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Finance Director with a strong background in accounting and controlling that will develop and manage Anjarium’s financial management strategy and operations. The role will report to the Finance Director and will be charged with developing, implementing and managing policies and procedures both in the finance and operational areas. This is a hands-on role and requires the candidate to get involved in the detail and play an integral role in helping to shape and grow Anjarium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing & managing financial controls and accounting systems as the business grows
  • Overseeing day to day finance including accounts payable, VAT, payroll, cash forecasting and management
  • Interacting with auditors, regulatory bodies (tax authorities, etc.) and banks
  • Working with Finance Director to prepare and analyse monthly performance reports and reporting the financial results
  • Organising year-end audits and statutory accounts
  • Assisting with company administration e.g. insurances, annual returns
  • Assistance with the preparation of due diligence information for future funding transactions

Qualifications

  • Professional accountancy qualification - preferably CIMA or ACCA with a proven track record
  • 5-8 years professional experience, of which at least 2-3 years should be in a similar position with familiarity with the challenges and the potential of rapidly growing early-stage company
  • Profound financial expertise in profit and loss management (controlling) and balance sheet structure (financing)
  • Capability to develop and implement robust finance processes
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand detailed data and analysis, and translate key messages to non-finance leader to inform decision making is crucial to success
  • Solid know-how in US GAAP, IFRS standards, in addition to Swiss CO reporting
  • Knowledge of personnel matters, including social security and pension matters, insurance, incentive plans, etc.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including administration
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and German
