We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist for a consulting position, focusing on the application of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) techniques to Electronic Health Records (EHR) datasets. This is a unique opportunity for a doctoral or postdoctoral researcher passionate about healthcare innovation to contribute to meaningful proof of concept projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Duration: 3-6 months consulting, 10-12 hrs/week

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models on EHR datasets to extract insights relevant to patient care and outcomes.
  • Apply deep learning techniques to analyse complex healthcare data, identifying patterns and trends that can inform decision-making and policy.
  • Work closely with our product development team for proof-of-concept (PoC) integration of AI-driven analytics into our healthtech solutions.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality data science pipeline within project timelines, contributing to the overall PoC success.
  • Independently identify research opportunities and challenges, proposing innovative solutions to complex problems in healthcare data analysis.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related field, focusing on healthcare data analysis. Postdoctoral researchers are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying ML and DL methodologies to EHR datasets, with a portfolio of projects that have led to healthcare insights.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools essential for data science (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in the context of RWD, data aggregation, EHR, and data processing.
  • Proven ability to work independently, with a delivery-focused attitude and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
