Deep Breath Intelligence AG (DBI), a Swiss start-up applying artificial intelligence (AI) to discover and interpret molecular breath biomarkers for precision diagnostic was elected winner from eight companies by the audience.
Deep Breath Intelligence was selected from a large number of applicants for the Zug Young Entrepreneur Award (ZUG) 2022 to pitch on stage against 7 other companies in front of almost two hundred spectators in the Steinhausen community hall. Eight young start-ups had to present their ideas in just 3 minutes, followed by critical questions from the four experts. In the end, all experts and most of the audience voted for Deep Breath Intelligence AG. As prize money a cheque in the amount of CHF 5000.- was handed over to Christian Zwicky, CEO of DBI.
“It is tough to present your company's idea in just 3 minutes”, says Christian Zwicky. “I am very happy that we were able to transfer our vision to the experts and audience. Our revolutionary method based on data science on molecular breath analysis has a huge potential for early disease detection and drug monitoring. It seems our approach and message has been well received…and we are of course proud representing Zug as a hot-spot for start-ups.” The event was sponsored by the canton of Zug, the municipality of Steinhausen, Zuger Kantonalbank AG, WWZ AG and Parkhotel Zug.
