Operations support, 50% - Part Time

Location: Basel

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is looking for a motivated individual to support the operations team in Basel and some administrative support for the Basel office.

This individual will work closely with the operations and HR teams. This person will help with general operations at the Basel site and with some office-based administrative tasks and assist the entire Basel team in our general operations where required. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of office and laboratory operations and general administrative work and proven organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience within the healthcare and life sciences industry is preferred but not required.

 

Core Duties:

Support the day-to-day office/administrative operations and help with special event and projects as needed

Proactively monitors stocks – stationary, office supplies and kitchen supplies, such as snacks and drinks

Organize and maintain laboratory supplies, disposable and reusable glassware and plastic ware, BSL1 and BSL2 consumables, biochemical reagents, media and buffer stocks, lab coats,

and miscellaneous materials.

Receiving and inventory of parcels - Signing for deliveries, distributing mail, and assisting the office with shipping needs

Disposal of bio-hazardous and chemical waste and decontaminating working areas following all PPE requirements and safety regulations.

Work with HR to set up new Starters desks and any onboarding tasks they may need

Handle building maintenance requests

Disposal of cardboard/polystyrene packages and recycling

Keep the public areas tidy

Ensure synergies between Basel and Boston office operations

 

Additional duties:

Provide backup when the Office Manager for Basel is out of the office.

Help with all office operations requests when needed

Collaborate and coordinate with internal team members to maintain a strong employee

and visitor experience at Monte Rosa Therapeutics

Will be required to assist and collaborate, as needed, with special department projects

 

Qualifications:

At least 1-2 years of Hospitality or Office/Laboratory operations experience in a professional organization preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; knowledge of French would be helpful.

Demonstrate a high degree of independence - discretion, practical judgment, technical know-how, and focus on detail.

Collaborative work style: ability to work well in a team environment

A good knowledge of working with Microsoft Office

Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Maintain a strong work ethic
