Report a suspicious email

Have you received a suspicious email claiming to be from Swiss Biotech Day or the Swiss Biotech Association? Help us fight fraud by submitting it here. Please include the full email headers if possible — see instructions below.

Email headers

Email headers contain technical routing data that help us trace the sender and report abuse. They are hidden by default — use the instructions below to find them in your email client.

Microsoft Outlook (Desktop)

  1. Open the suspicious email (double-click to open in a new window).
  2. Go to FileProperties.
  3. Find the Internet headers box at the bottom.
  4. Click inside the box, press Ctrl+A to select all, then Ctrl+C to copy.
  5. Paste it into the field below.

Outlook on the Web (OWA / Microsoft 365)

  1. Open the email.
  2. Click the three dots at the top right of the message.
  3. Select ViewView message source (or View message details).
  4. Copy all the text and paste it below.

Gmail

  1. Open the email.
  2. Click the three dots next to the Reply button.
  3. Select Show original.
  4. A new tab opens — click Copy to clipboard or select and copy all the text.
  5. Paste it into the field below.

Apple Mail (macOS)

  1. Select the suspicious email.
  2. Go to ViewMessageAll Headers (or press ⌘⇧H).
  3. The headers appear at the top of the email — select, copy, and paste below.

Thunderbird

  1. Open the email.
  2. Go to ViewMessage Source (or press Ctrl+U).
  3. Copy the header section (everything above the first blank line) and paste below.
Tip: If you are unsure, just copy everything — we will extract the relevant data.

Even without headers your report is helpful — but headers significantly speed up the investigation.
