Lab Manager Service Lab (60%)

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are responsible for the organization of technical and quality related operation of the service lab.

Starting date: as soon as possible. Place of work: Schlieren, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure regular device maintenance, installation IQ/OQ and repair of lab equipment
• Hygiene and contamination monitoring in the service lab
• Ensure temperature monitoring of critical devices
• Documentation of maintenance and quality assurance
• Organization of lab shut down and decontamination of labs
• Training of new lab staff and cleaning personnel
• Training of people and planning for on-duty service
• Communication between scientific teams, operations and quality management
• Act as deputy for the Biosafety Officer and the Chemical Safety officer
• Coordination with external companies for lab-facility related matters (repair work, new installations etc.)

Profile:

• Formation as laboratory technician or BSc or MSc in Biology/Chemistry or other Life Sciences
• Expertise in BSL2 laboratory environment
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
• Independent working style/ can-do attitude
• Excellent communication in spoken and written German and English
• Thrive for process optimization
• Working experience in an industrial setting
• Experience in a similar position is an advantage
• Working experience in the quality field is a plus
• Knowledge of regulations concerning biosafety and chemical safety is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
