Job brief

We are looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to work on all product stages from research and development to design and help us developing and implement manufacturing processes. The goal is to design and fabricate mechanical components of innovation and excellence. You need to have good knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods. Other necessary manufacturing engineer skills include project management ability, commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and medical device standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems and components that meet needs and requirements
  • Test and evaluate theoretical designs
  • Follow up with Suppliers with regards to design changes
  • Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
  • Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
  • Prepare design reports and documentation
  • Maintain and develop processes for mechanical engineering (CAD and PDM)
  • Develop processes for manufacturing, as incoming inspection and working instructions
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
  • Resolve issues and delays in production
  • Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality in design and production

Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in mechanical engineering for medical devices
  • Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role
  • Experience with quality managements systems (QMS) and release management
  • Experience with design and manufacturing tools, specifically Autodesk Inventor and Vault
  • Previous experience with sheet metal, injection molding and 3D printing
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
  • Creativity and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Technical writing skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
  • Project management skills
