Seeking the potential of RNA treatments at Swiss RNA therapeutics summit

The first Swiss RNA therapeutics summit attracted over 180 participants on January 26, 2023 in Bern. Leaders from academia, industry, regulators, government representatives and investors elaborated in presentations, panel discussions, and during networking, how all stakeholders can help to materialize the enormous potential of RNA as safe and cost-efficient drug candidates.

The keynote speakers from BioNTech (Dr. Mustafa Diken) and AstraZeneca (Dr. Shalini Andersson) highlighted the companies’ activities in the field of RNA based therapy development.

Prof. Jonathan Hall, Dr. Dominik Theler from NCCR RNA & Disease and Dr. Carsten Laue from the Swiss Biotech Association, who organized the summit, were very pleased about the feedback from the participants and the interest raised at commercial stage pharma, biotech, as well as contract development and manufacturing companies to actively support the event.
