The Bio-Technopark is an internationally significant life sciences hub. Spanning 100,000 m2 of laboratory, production, and office space, the park is home to around 60 companies and organizations, as well as 80 academic research groups from ETH, University of Zurich, and University Hospital Zurich.

As part of the Technopark Alliance, the Bio-Technopark supports start-up entrepreneurs by providing them with tailored infrastructure and promoting the exchange of ideas among the life science organizations based there.
Cooperation possibilities
The Bio-Technopark collaborates with numerous partners to promote start-up entrepreneurship, facilitate knowledge and technology transfer, and manage clusters. It is also an active member of several organizations.

We support and facilitate the transfer of innovative knowledge and technology from the laboratory to patients.
The companies in the park raised more than 3 billion Swiss francs and signed licensing agreements with major pharmaceutical companies worth a total of 10 billion Swiss francs, excluding royalties. Twenty of the companies were sold to industry leaders for approximately 5 billion Swiss francs.
Many successful companies in the Bio-Technopark serve as role models. For example, Glycart AG was sold to Roche in 2005. The drugs developed at Glycart and marketed by Roche generate over one billion Swiss francs in sales per year.
