The milestone builds on the collaboration first announced in April 2024, when ten23 health and Ypsomed joined forces to offer pharmaceutical customers a fully integrated solution for the YpsoDose platform — combining 10mL glass cartridges, Ypsomed's large-volume wearable injector technology YpsoDose, and ten23's formulation, sterile filling, and analytical testing and quality control services. By bringing these capabilities together, the partnership aims to simplify the path from drug product development to a commercially ready YpsoDose combination product.

Since then, ten23 has implemented sterile filling for the 10 mL glass cartridges used for the YpsoDose device, both on its development filling line in Basel (Line 0), that can be leveraged for process evaluations for e.g., filling and stopper setting, process and development and to generate samples for stability testing, design verification and else.

The 10 mL cartridge formats are as being implemented on ten23’sGMP clinical and smaller-scale commercial filling line (Line 1).

With the assembly capability now being implemented, the strategic partnership of Ypsomed and ten23 is extending beyond drug product manufacturing and testing to include the assembly of the final drug-device combination – bringing an additional step of the supply chain under one roof. This further expands the range of services available to pharmaceutical customers developing combination products with YpsoDose. For pharmaceutical customers, this means being able to leverage the integrated supply chain solutions, with fewer technical transfers, and fewer partners to coordinate.
